Waggoner, based in Jackson, was honored with the ACEC Mississippi Engineering Excellence Award for its work on the Historic Jackson Street District. Each year the American Council of Engineering Companies gives awards to engineering firms around the country for excellence in the profession.

``Recognition by the American Council of Engineering Companies is a high honor and we are pleased not only to receive this award but also to see the dramatic impact our work has made for our valued client, the city of Ridgeland,’’ said Jim Hust, P.E., President of Waggoner Engineering, Inc.
