Waggoner Engineering, a full-service economic development, project management and engineering firm based in Jackson, Miss., announced the addition of Rae Ann Lawrence as an engineering intern in its Civil, Structural and Aviation division.
In this role, Lawrence will assist the department in various projects. Thus far, she has focused on the Ridgeland City Center project, in which she has been involved with utility relocation coordination and stormwater management design. She has also worked on pavement maintenance programs for the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rae Ann to our team in the Civil, Structural and Aviation division. She has already shown great promise and talent in the short time that she has been a part of Waggoner, and we look forward to getting her even more involved on our many ongoing projects,” said Joe Waggoner, PE, Founder and President of Waggoner Engineering.
Lawrence most recently served as a research assistant for the Mississippi State University (MSU) Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. She received her undergraduate degree in civil and environmental engineering in 2013 from MSU, where she is also earning her Master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering with an expected graduation date of December 2014.
