Waggoner Engineering is pleased to announce that Austin Moore has become a licensed professional engineer in the State of Mississippi.
Moore joined Waggoner in 2010, and serves as a project engineer specializing in municipal water and wastewater, site master planning, green infrastructure and sustainable design. His project experience includes the Gulf Region Water and Wastewater Program, Jackson Municipal Airport Authority Eastside Development, St. Dominic Hospital Water Supply System, City of Gulfport Water Main Improvements, and Camp Shelby Sanitary Sewer Replacement.
“We are proud of Austin for achieving this new accreditation as an engineer.” said Jim Hust, PE, president of Waggoner Engineering. “We celebrate his milestone as our newest licensed PE, and are excited that he is not only strengthening the company, but progressing in his career as well.”
PE licensure is the National Society of Engineers’ highest standard of competence, highlighting achievement and assuring an elevated standard of quality. The license requires a four-year college degree, at least four years of experience working under another PE, completion of two intensive competency exams and the earning of a license from Mississippi’s state licensure board.
Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering and a master’s degree in landscape architecture from Mississippi State University.
