JACKSON, Miss. – October 10, 2019, – Waggoner Engineering, Inc., a full-service economic development, program management, and engineering firm, has hired Chazz Coleman as a GIS Technician.
Since 2013, Coleman was a research assistant with the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science. His role included preparing species distribution maps for the comprehensive bat strategy plan and using
ArcMap to perform environmental reviews. He’s currently building a species distribution model as a degree requirement and to help the conservation of a species.
“Chazz will be a great asset to our growing team,” said Jimmy Bradley, CFM, GISP, Manager for GIS and Asset Management.
Coleman has several certificates from Esri, a global market leader in GIS software, including terrain analysis, 3D visualization, and building models for GIS analysis.
Coleman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi and will earn a Master of Applied Science in Geospatial Information Technologies this fall.
