JACKSON, Miss. – July 31, 2020 – Waggoner Engineering has hired Mike D’Angelo, PE, PLS, as the firm’s Director of Engineering – Louisiana, working out of Waggoner’s New Orleans office.
He has over 30 years of experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, including levees, floodgates, street and drainage improvements, transmission pipelines, water, and sewerage pump stations throughout Louisiana.
D’Angelo comes to Waggoner from APTIM (formerly CB&I), in Houma, Louisiana. He was responsible for the design and development of construction drawings for flood protection projects that are part of the Morganza to the Gulf Hurricane Protection – Interim Flood Risk Reduction Program that is being implemented in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana.
He also spent 13 years as a Project Manager and Engineer at CB&I. He served as the Design Quality Control Manager for the Inner Harbor Navigational Canal Project in New Orleans East, the largest design-build project awarded by the United States Corps of Engineers to date.
D’Angelo is a registered Professional Engineer in Louisiana, Texas, and Georgia and a registered Professional Land Surveyor in Louisiana.
A member of the Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors and American Society of Civil Engineers, D’Angelo holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisana.
