JACKSON, Miss. – January 28, 2021 – Imad Aleithawe, Ph.D., PE, CPM, has been promoted to the Director of Quality Assurance at Waggoner, the firm announced today.

In his new role, Aleithawe will provide primary leadership in developing, maintaining, and implementing Waggoner’s policies and procedures for achieving quality in the products and services that the company offers.

“Imad is a talented senior construction engineer who also has considerable quality management capabilities, risk assessment, and several other relevant areas,” said Chief Technical Officer, Bill McDonald. “Our goal in creating this new role is to continue to improve the quality of our products and services at every level of project performance.”

Aleithawe joined Waggoner in 2018 and was previously a Senior Construction Engineer with the firm. He has over 25 years of civil engineering, construction, operations, personnel, and management experience. Aleithawe worked for the Mississippi Department of Transportation from 1991 until 2018.

A Certified Public Manager and Registered Professional Engineer in Mississippi, Aleithawe holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Gdansk Technical University in Poland. He also has a Master of Science and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University. In addition, He serves as an adjunct professor in the CCE department at MSU teaching construction engineering and management courses for both undergraduate and graduate students.
