JACKSON, Miss. – May 20, 2021 – Waggoner Engineering, Inc., a full-service economic development, program management, and engineering firm, is excited to welcome Brandon Elsner as the Federal Strategic Services Director based in our Washington, D.C. office.
A senior political executive with over ten years of professional experience in natural resource and environmental policy, Elsner has routinely developed and led key stakeholder teams that successfully advanced strategic priorities by leveraging the federal legislative, regulatory, appropriations, and budget processes.
Before joining Waggoner, Elsner was the Assistant Policy Director, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and a Senior Advisor for Natural Resources, Council on Environmental Quality under former President Donald Trump.
He also spent time as the Legislative Assistant for U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, advising him on congressional and appropriations matters involving oceans, natural resources, water infrastructure, economic and tax policy issues.
Elsner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University and a Master of Science in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from the University of Rhode Island.
