JACKSON, Miss. – August 4, 2021 – Waggoner Engineering, Inc., a full-service economic development, planning, program management, and engineering firm, is pleased to announce Binita Shrestha has joined the firm as an Engineer Intern in Hydrology & Hydraulics.
“Binita has a solid academic background in hydraulic modeling from her graduate school work,” said Maggie Wei, Discipline Manager for Hydrology & Hydraulics. “She will be a great asset for our group! I am very excited to have her on board!”
Shrestha served as a Graduate Research Assistant and a Numerical Methods and Fluid Mechanics Teaching Assistant at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, while earning a Master of Science in Engineering – Civil and Environmental Engineering.
She prepared lectures and experimentation settings, assessed the socio-economic benefit of rehabilitating water and wastewater network in an urban community, and analyzed remote sensing datasets.
She also worked as an AutoCAD Draftsman for Towa Engineering in Kathmandu, Nepal, where she prepared and inspected assembly and detail drawings of steel bridge accessories.
Shrestha holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University (T.U), Institute of Engineering (IOE), Nepal.
