Deadra Hughes joins Waggoner

JACKSON, Miss. – October 11, 2021 – Waggoner Engineering, Inc., a full-service economic development, planning, program management, and engineering firm, is happy to announce the addition of Deadra Hughes as a Senior Project Manager with the firm’s Utility division.

Hughes has over 25 years of experience in the chemical and power industries, including project and data management, budgeting, and reporting.

“We are excited to have Deadra join our Power & Industry team here at Waggoner,” said Scott Phillips, PE, Vice President of the Power and Industry Division. “She brings years of project management experience working with industries like Dow and Linde. We know she is going to be a valuable asset to Waggoner, and I can’t wait to see what she will accomplish for our clients.”

Before joining Waggoner, Hughes served as a senior project manager for Entergy’s Nuclear Division in Port Gibson, MS. She was responsible for project execution, including monitoring project schedules, work assignments, budgets, & workforce expenditures, among other duties. She also created a site and project COVID-19 plan for the 2020 outage.

Hughes worked as a project engineer for Linde Engineering North America and a project development leader and senior project specialist for Dow Chemical Company.

Hughes holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Jackson State University. She also has an Associate Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.
