Tell us about yourself!
I’m a Jackson native married to an amazing woman who still laughs at my quirky sense of humor. We are fortunate to live in the Fondren district of Jackson. It’s is a great neighborhood with wonderful neighbors. Ours’ is a full house with two dogs, two very loud parakeets, and a cat who thinks he’s a dog.
My interests run the gamut. I am fascinated and curious about how things work and how they’re built. I love reading, growing vegetables, cooking, building, creating, and traveling.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
That would be 2026, and I should be about one year into semiretirement. I think volunteering with community service organizations by doing hands-on work(building, cleaning, and fixing stuff) and maybe experimenting with hydroponics or vertical gardening. I’m definitely spending more time biking and less driving. Also, see myself learning to work on large-scale art pieces and take up welding. And reading the top 100 books everyone should read.
What do you like most about your job?
I love working with very talented people who have a shared vision of helping communities.
