of color removed from the city’s water supply
The Details
The plan evaluates the capacity and condition and makes recommendations for water infrastructure, including wells, tanks, water lines, and treatment. A hydraulic model of the city’s water distribution system was developed to determine the existing capacity and project future system demands based on growth patterns.
Waggoner piloted a Nanofiltration Color Removal plant using a raw water feed from the city’s water supply. The pilot was successful in removing color from 50 units down to 0 units. Further evaluations are ongoing to determine the capital and O&M costs for full-scale implementation.
